STEM RACING
WHAT IS STEM RACING?
STEM RACING is an international STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education program officially sponsored by F1, and is a competition of creativity and practical skills that brings together junior and senior high school students from around the world to embody the "Spirit of F1".
The core of this program is an educational race called "F1 in Schools." Students form teams and design and build their own miniature F1 cars (CO2 car racers), aiming to be the fastest. They also experience comprehensive project management just like in F1, including brand building, presentations, sponsor negotiations, and marketing.
The appeal of STEM RACING is that it is not just a technical contest. A wide variety of learning can be covered in one project, from practicing advanced design skills such as wind tunnel experiments and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis, to 3D modeling and production process management, and even acquiring global skills such as international communication and presentation in English. In addition, the division of roles within the team and the decision-making process for achieving goals go beyond the scope of mere "learning" and are also a practical place to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and the power of diversity and collaboration.
The 2025 National Championship will be held in Thailand, bringing together selected students from around the world. To compete, students will need professional team building, presentation skills, strategic marketing, and of course, engineering excellence.
In other words, STEM RACING is "the most realistic learning environment for nurturing the scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the future."
