Nice to meet you. We, "Hana -SAKURA- Racing", are a team of high school students from Yamaguchi Prefecture taking on the world.
Our goal is to represent Japan in the international competition "STEM Racing", where students from all over the world compete, focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education and marketing skills.
We are working in collaboration with educational institutions and companies in Yamaguchi Prefecture to experience Formula 1-style technology and business skills, and the team is responsible for everything from planning, design, public relations, and fundraising, as we take on the daily challenge of "taking on the real society."
WHAT IS STEM RACING?
"STEM Racing" is an international education program sponsored by Formula 1 for students aged 11-19.
Participants will form teams of three to six people and use professional engineering tools such as CAD design and CFD (fluid analysis software) to create aerodynamically optimized miniature F1 cars, which they will then compete in global competitions.
However, the essence of this competition is not to compete on "speed".
The competition is truly a "stage for developing the next generation of leaders," with evaluations based on marketing, sponsorship sales, team management, and even communication skills.
ABOUT US
Through our participation in this international competition, we aim to create not just a single athlete, but a model case of education for the future that combines local industry with the passion of young people.
Our team, "Hana -SAKURA- Racing," is made up of six students enrolled in the Science and Liberal Arts Department of Yamaguchi Prefectural Yamaguchi High School, and each member has a diverse range of roles, including engineer, marketer, and manager.

The costs of the tournament, including participation fees, transportation, machine materials, and PR, amount to several million yen.
This is far beyond the reach of high school students alone.
That is why we don't want to keep this challenge "just for us," but rather want to share it as a local challenge.
We aim to make the impossible possible by connecting passionate young people who have been unable to realize their dreams due to financial reasons with local industry.
